Creating a New World
- Log into the Dicey.CC app.
- Navigate to the Data Manager/My Content page.
- Select the Worlds category from the sidebar. On mobile, you can find different data categories using the hamburger menu.
- Click the Create (“+”) button to add a new row for the world, type a name, then click the Save (checkmark) button. This creates a new, empty world.
- Click the Edit (pencil) icon to open the World Editor.
Editing an Existing World
- Navigate to the Data Manager page.
- Select the Worlds category from the sidebar.
- Click the Edit (pencil) icon next to the world you want to change. The World Editor will open with that world’s current data filled in.
World Editor Layout
On desktop, the editor has two columns.
Left Column: World or Campaign Details
Name
- Enter or edit the world’s name (up to 255 characters).
- This field is required.
System
- Shows which game system this world uses (read-only).
Summary
- Write or edit your world’s description using the rich text editor.
- This field is optional.
Setting Rules
- You’ll see a list of setting rules you’ve added, each with a delete button (trash icon) to remove it.
- Below the list, use the search field to find and add new setting rules from your library or the shared library by typing a name.
Modifications
- Modifications let you customize character creation rules beyond what the setting rules offer. For example, you can increase starting Attribute points, add bonus Skill points, give a free Edge, or change starting funds.
- Click the Add Option button to create a new modification.
- Each modification has a configurator where you choose what it does.
- Click the delete button on a modification to remove it.
Right Column: World Elements
The right column shows a summary of the elements (like Edges, Hindrances, Skills, Gear, and more) linked to this world. You can browse and manage them here.
Saving or Canceling
- Click Save to keep your changes.
- Click Cancel to discard your changes and close the editor.
